Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

The Senior Executive - Accounts is mainly responsible to support Finance Department in handling finance operations matters, include month-end closing of accounts, reconciliation and prepare management accounts of the holding company and its subsidiaries and daily administrative matters.

KEY RESULT AREAS / RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Operations

As part of the Finance team:

  • Responsible for handling a full set of accounts, including month-end closing activities, and ensuring timely and accurate preparation of management reports, commentaries, reconciliations, variance analysis and relevant reporting.
  • Manage e-invoicing transactions, processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Handle indirect tax matters, including reporting, filing, and compliance.
  • Prepare tax computation and ensure the appropriate provision, estimation, and timely tax return submission.
  • Responsible for budget and forecast preparation and submission.
  • Involve and support in year-end audit processes to ensure smooth audit completion.
  • Liaise with banks, company secretaries, tax agent, external auditor and relevant authorities on company matters.
  • Lead, guide and coordinate with Account Executive / peers in daily operations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, corporate guidelines and statutory requirements.
  • Proactively identify key issues, risks, and opportunities and provide recommendations to management on financial or non-financial matters.
  • Ensure proper filling and maintenance of accounting records.
  • Carry out any other ad hoc duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

MINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION

  • Candidate must possess at least qualified certificates such as Diploma in accounting or relevant degree in accounting.

RELATED EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years in accounting experience
  • Experience in SAP accounting system
  • Experience in indirect taxation and e-invoicing

COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)

  • Possess expertise in indirect taxation, e-invoicing, and related regulatory requirements impacting accounting.
  • Possess good computer skills in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload to ensure smooth daily operations and meeting deadlines
  • Good analytical skills
  • Good stakeholders management skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English
