Job Description

The APEL Support Officer supports day-to-day operations of the APEL Unit, organize and maintain files and records in system and provide wholesome and holistic support to faculties/learners. He/She also ensures all related stakeholders are satisfied with the support provided by APEL.

Responsibilities

  • Handle enquiries from learners pertaining to APEL.
  • Explain on the administrative and application processes to learners.
  • Ensure learners are provided with a copy of Learners Guide on APEL.
  • Ensure completeness of relevant forms and documentations submitted by learners.
  • Perform verification of forms and documents submitted by learners.
  • Assist learners with learning resources like text books /materials/etc. where need be.
  • Coordinate assessment between learners and Assessor.
  • Key liaison between learners and Assessor.
  • Receive request from learner regarding appeal against the results of the APEL assessment.
  • Communicate unofficial results to learners.
  • Ensure completeness of APEL-02 form, thereafter submit to MQA for issuance of APEL certificate to successful applicants.
  • Prepare periodic data/reports/statistics as and when required.
  • Keep abreast and adhere to relevant policy and procedures affecting APEL operations.
  • Familiar with the Guidelines to Good Practices (GGP) and all related quality assurance documents and policies set by the MQA and other related agencies.
  • Attend continuous training in the areas of APEL to remain relevant.
  • Undertake any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in any field
