Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Senior Executive/Assistant Manager to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in managing the company's finance and accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and robust financial controls.

Job Duties:

  • Take ownership of the finance and accounting functions, including month-end and year-end closing, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial performance reports, providing meaningful insights to support business decisions.
  • Perform high-volume transaction reconciliations by matching system-generated reports against bank statements, partner reports, and other operational data.
  • Prepare regulatory reports, including Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) reporting and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate statutory audits, tax matters, and group reporting requirements.
  • Support the Finance Manager in driving finance process improvements, automation initiatives and system enhancements to improve operational efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and enhance reporting accuracy.
  • Work closely with Treasury, Product, Technology, Operations and Compliance teams to support business initiatives and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and special projects as assigned by management.
  • Any ad hoc tasks as assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, CIMA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
  • Experience in the fintech, remittance, payment gateway, e-wallet, digital payments, banking, or financial services industry will be highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) regulatory reporting and compliance requirements is highly desirable.
  • Strong experience performing high-volume transaction reconciliations, including matching system reports with bank statements, settlement reports and partner statements.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, data handling);experience with data analysis tools (e.g. Power Query, Power BI or similar) will be an advantage.
  • Comfortable working with ERP systems and technology-enabled finance processes.
  • Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage large volumes of transactional data accurately.
  • Self-driven, hands-on, and able to work independently.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Willing to work in Bandar Sunway.
