Principal Duties :
- Ensure legal, regulatory, and tax compliance.
- Ensure accurate tax provisions for the Group.
- Compile information required for drafting statutory tax disclosures and coordinate the completion of tax disclosures.
- Oversee the Group's tax reporting process, including organizing deliverables and timelines with tax agents and auditors.
- Estimate forecasted profitability for the purpose of determining interim tax payments.
- Prepare withholding tax clearances and other ad hoc tax filings as required.
- Conduct historical reviews of the Group's related party transactions to ensure compliance with Transfer Pricing policies.
- Continuously perform tax health checks for the Group and propose improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with tax authorities on audits and investigations, as well as applications and appeals on tax-related matters.
- Assist in research and analysis of tax issues in Malaysia and other jurisdictions as assigned.
Knowledge / Experience Required :
- At least 4 years of experience in a professional tax firm.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A committed team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and meticulous with strong attention to detail.
- High integrity and able to work independently.
Academic / Professional Qualification :
- Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Bachelor's Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, or an equivalent field.
