What The Role Is
You will support the Crisis Strategy and Operations Group (CSOG) by conducting analytical projects and maintaining robust data engineering pipelines to enable evidence-based decision-making. This role contributes to operational readiness, crisis response capabilities, and strategic planning through the delivery of reliable, timely, and actionable data insights.
You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
What You Will Be Working On
- Create dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Help maintain data collection processes from various sources and ensuring data accuracy.
- Perform regular data checks to ensure information accuracy and follow established security procedures.
- Keep clear records of data sources and processes to help team members understand and use the information effectively.
- Work with different departments to understand their data needs and help present findings in easy-to-understand formats.
- Provide administrative and coordination support to implement data requirements in IT systems and initiatives.
- Assist with implementing government-approved applications and digital solutions within the organisation.
What We Are Looking For
Educational Background:
- Tertiary education in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience: - 0-2 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or related field.
Technical Skills: - Proficiency in Python, with experience in SQL and AWS cloud tools would be an advantage.
- Experience with data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI).
