Senior Executive, Data Visualization

The Role

The Visualization Developer / Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing data visualizations that provide business insights using various BI tools and platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing data visualizations using BI tools such as OAS, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools. The role requires a combination of technical skills and business acumen Technically lead and mentor a team of visualization experts in creating visually compelling and interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that provide business insights to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to understand the data requirements and develop data visualizations that meet those requirements.
• Develop and maintain data visualization templates, standards, and best practices for BI tools and platforms.
• Create visually compelling and interactive data visualizations that provide business insights to key stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain documentation and training materials to support end-users in understanding the data visualizations.
• Work with data engineers and data analysts to ensure efficient and optimized data models and data sources for the data visualizations.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and ensure timely delivery of high-quality data visualizations.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in data visualization and design to continuously improve the effectiveness and usability of data visualizations.

Requirements & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing data visualizations using BI tools such as Tableau, OAS, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and principles, including colour theory, data types, and user interface design.
• Experience in developing data visualizations that provide business insights and add value to business operations.
• Familiarity with data modeling and data analysis.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
• Familiarity with SQL and other programming languages is preferred.
• Experience with Agile methodology and project management is a must
