About the Role

This role is responsible for supporting end-to-end finance and accounting operations, including month-end and year-end closing, management and statutory reporting, financial reconciliation, invoice processing, and maintaining accurate financial records. The incumbent will also be involved in commercial finance by providing financial analysis, budgeting, reporting, and business insights to support better commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform month end and year end closing under the guidance of direct manager.
  • Preparation of monthly management reports, statutory reports, and ad hoc reports.
  • To prepare and submit management report within deadlines.
  • Handle day to day operations of accounting record & filing. Ensure proper documentation, comprehensive and easily accessible filing / archiving system.
  • Reconcile bank transactions/statements.
  • Process invoices, quotation, receipts, and purchase orders.
  • Analyze and record financial data, assisting with audits, reviews, and tax preparations.
  • For executives assigned to Commercial Operations portfolio, to assist Commercial team in related finance activities i.e. financial analysis and budgeting.
  • Provide service excellence to employees and address internal stakeholders queries timely and with minimal error.
  • Perform on the job training and rotation to support finance pillars wherenever necessary (e.g. commercial finance, accounting, tax, audit, costing & budgeting, treasury etc.).
  • Supervise Associate Executive, Finance and Interns as and when necessary.
  • Custodian and subject matter expertise for finance systems and policies. Brief new and existing employees about finance SOPs as and when required.
  • Vendor sourcing, qualifying, contract negotiation and management.
  • Contribute to finance transformation projects, including financial controls and process improvements.
  • Stay updated to ensure finance processes comply to government legislations and relevant Acts.

About You

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting within the pharmaceutical, FMCG, or healthcare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles, including full-set accounting, accounts receivable, record-to-reconciliation, and order-to-cash processes.
  • Familiarity in accounting / finance software, ERP systems. SAP system fundamentals are advantageous
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in both startup and established organizational environments.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and meticulous in execution.
  • Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure, and ambiguous environments while delivering results.
