Job Summary
Based at HQ in Malaysia, this role supports the full spectrum of HR operations across MR. D.I.Y. International's expansion markets. This role requires to work closely with internal HR team and third-party vendors remotely, under the guidance of the Senior HRBP, Manager.
Key Responsibilities
HR Services & Administration
- Prepare employment contracts, letters, and HR correspondence for international markets based on approved templates and guidance from the HR Manager.
- Maintain and structure policy documents and employee handbooks, ensuring version control and easy reference across markets.
- Compile and verify payroll-related data for submission to local payroll providers.
- Coordinate with HR-related vendors on contract terms, renewals, and service delivery.
- Verify vendor invoices against contracted terms and raise payment requests for processing.
New Market HR Setup
- Work with the HR Manager to establish end-to-end Hire-to-Retire processes for new markets.
- Design and implement onboarding workflows for first and subsequent hires in new markets.
- Research local labour law basics, statutory benefits, and market-standard practices to inform HR setup decisions.
- Support configuration and deployment of the centralized HR/HRIS platform for new markets and guide local stakeholders on its use.
Documentation
- Maintain organized, audit-ready records of employment documents, policies, and compliance items across all markets.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify recurring pain points or inefficiencies in HR processes across markets.
- Propose and help implement process improvements, templates, or tools to streamline future market entries.
- Stay updated on evolving local compliance requirements relevant to assigned markets.
Job Requirements
- 4 – 6 years HR experience, ideally with exposure to multi-country or cross-border HR support.
- Basic understanding of GDPR or equivalent data privacy framework.
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high service standards.
- High level of integrity with the ability to handle confidential information.
- Language requirements: Fluent in Chinese (for communication with multi-country stakeholders); Working proficiency in English (reading and writing).
