Job Summary
To ensure that all investigation activities are carried out in accordance with the relevant laws under the purview of MCMC and within the prescribed timeline, with the ultimate objective, to achieve successful prosecution.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct investigation as the Senior Investigation Officer to ensure successful outcome of the investigation.
- Supervise and monitor collection and preservation of the physical/digital evidence by ensuring that the said evidence is properly packaged, tagged and documented in accordance with the SOPs.
- Prepare minutes for the Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) with recommendations based on investigative findings.
- Discuss and assist in identifying witnesses and to apply subpoena from the court and attend court as witness to present or give evidence.
- Participate in joint operation organized by other Law Enforcement Agencies and maintain a close working relationship within internal departments & external i.e. Digital Forensics Department, SIRIM, Cybersecurity Malaysia, PDRM and others law enforcement agencies to establish platform to facilitate investigation activities.
- Supervise and guide lOs during recording statement of complainant, suspect & witnesses Investigation on IP and raiding activities to ensure the IP is completed within stipulated time and are conducted in accordance with the provision of the law and the SOP.
- Provide advice to IOs, state regulatory officers, internal department on investigation activities performed to ensure that the advice, information, activities and response are given in accordance with the legal provision and within the stipulated timeline.
- Prepare and update responses to Investigation Division (ID) correspondence and internal memos, ensuring that the information provided reflects the latest developments of investigations.
- Draft responses prepared for Parliamentary questions to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with legal and procedural requirements.
- Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process flows on enforcement activities for the Investigation Division, external departments, and state offices.
- Attending meetings/discussions or sessions related to any matters pertaining to the conducted investigation.
- Act as speaker for any invitation, talk etc.
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Recognized Honours Degree in Law, Computer Technology, Science, Information Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent or other related qualification from recognized university with minimum CGPA 3.00.
- At least 5 years of working experience, preferably in enforcement, regulatory or compliance.
- Experience in handling regulatory /compliance issues.
