The Senior Executive in this role will be dedicated to the Information Technology (IT) Division of Gamuda Berhad, taking on a dual-role function focused primarily on training (70%) and a secondary focus on recruitment (30%).
With a 70% emphasis on training, he/she will conduct comprehensive Training and Learning Needs Analysis related to the organization's processes, systems, and software, design and develop training curriculums aligned with specific business objectives, collaborate with internal teams and external training vendors, and deliver training programs using various methods. This role will also be responsible for ensuring timely execution of training activities, evaluating program effectiveness, reviewing and improving training materials and policies, as well as tracking and managing training records. Staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies, he/she is expected to propose innovative training solutions. As part of the role, 30% of the time is contributed on IT recruitment activities, assisting with coordination, building professional networks, and supporting the team's Manager and Assistant Manager.
The ideal candidate is expected to possess a strong combination of training expertise and managing recruitment database as skills to drive organizational growth and development.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining
Identify and Conduct Training and Learning Needs Analysis (with regards to the process, systems and software used in Gamuda Berhad) and produce a comprehensive analysis report
Design and Develop training curriculums to address specific business objectives (including materials, activities, assessment and knowledgebase contents)
Engage and Collaborate with internal team (Subject Matter Experts, the Human Resource team, Learning Center team and the Management team) and external training vendors to ensure training meets its objectives
Deliver or Facilitate trainings programs based on business needs through various methods including coaching, workshops, mentoring, and face-to-face, virtual and e-learning programs
Responsible to ensure all trainings activities (pre and post) is carried out in timely manner
Evaluate the effectiveness of all training programs and recommend solutions to improve learning, engagement and drive performance improvement and behaviour change
Review all training programs, policies and procedures to ensure content accuracy, relevancy and quality meets organization standards
Track and Manage all aspects of the training records for reporting purposes (course enrolment, learning sessions, participation rate, pass rate and survey completion)
Prepare training reports for Gamuda Learning Centre consolidation and Management Reviews and/or any reoccurring reporting requirements
Explore industry best practices and implement new training trends, emerging technologies, and propose training accordingly
Recruitment
Build professional network with HR professionals, colleagues, and other partners and attend industry events, career fairs and conferences
Assist and Coordinate IT recruitment activities assigned by team's Manager/Assistant Manager
Experiences working with Construction/Engineering industry (preferred)
At least 3 - 5 years of proven work experience as a Trainer, ITSM Lead or similar role with ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
Additional experience and/or certification(s) in ITIL, ISO 20000, ISO 9001, ISO 27001 are advantageous
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with training participants, interview candidates, hiring managers, HR partners and vendors
Familiar or Proficient in Content Authoring Tools (eg: Articulate Storyline, Camtasia), Learning Management Systems (eg: Moodle, TalentLMS), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other training or recruitment tools
Attention to details and strong organizational skills to manage multiple activities and priorities
Critical thinker, good decision making and problem-solving skills
Demonstrates a creative mindset and proficiency in design thinking
Highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Office and related business and communication tools
Exhibits a positive mindset and a strong willingness to continuously learn and adapt
