Summary
As a Senior Executive in Material Program Management, you will serve as the strategic bridge between external customers and internal cross-functional teams (including Procurement, Planning, and Operations). You will own the supply chain relationship, lead master planning alignment, and execute robust material simulation and risk-mitigation strategies to ensure seamless Assurance of Supply (AOS) and meet corporate business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Material Program & Customer Relationship Management
- Lead the SCM relationship between the customer and internal teams, proactively resolving complex issues and managing expectations from a supply chain perspective.
- Gather and analyze customer SCM feedback, championing continuous improvement initiatives and driving Clear-to-Build (CTB) and Assurance of Supply (AOS) action plans.
- Evaluate customer requirement changes in coordination with the planning team to rigorously assess financial impacts, costs, and operational feasibility.
Planning, Materials Execution & Risk Mitigation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the Business Office, Production, Procurement, and Planning to develop, validate, and communicate end-to-end production and shipment plans.
- Drive Master Planning reviews and execute critical procurement actions derived from the MRP process.
- Own AOS and CTB management, executing advanced materials supply simulations and scenario studies to proactively identify and mitigate supply constraints.
- Establish and verify alternate sourcing capabilities to supply continuity while safeguarding customer cost structures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
Functional & Domain Expertise
- Deep, comprehensive understanding of global supply chain mechanics, strategic corporate policies, and supplier/customer dynamics.
- Strong business acumen regarding customer-specific operational structures, product lines, and processes.
- Solid working knowledge of the Engineering Change Note (ECN) process and its downstream supply chain impacts.
Data Analytics & Tools
- Advanced capability in data compilation, utilizing enterprise systems to gather information and transform complex supply chain metrics into executive, customer-presentable formats.
- Proven analytical skills to assess performance metrics, evaluate KPIs, and independently determine operational priorities.
- Proficiency in Clear-To-Build (CTB) materials supply simulation and scenario planning.
Collaboration & Systems
- Exceptional communication skills, with the demonstrated ability to articulate complex SCM activities to both internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Proven cross-functional interface skills, working seamlessly with Buyers, Planners, and Operations teams.
- System Knowledge (Preferred): Prior experience or knowledge of SAP and Kinaxis RapidResponse is highly advantageous.
Typical Experience & Education
- Experience:6 to 8 years of relevant experience in material planning and purchasing.
- Industry Background: Previous experience working within a Contract Manufacturing (EMS/CM) environment is a strong advantage.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Supply Chain, Business, Engineering), or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
