JOB PURPOSE
Lead, plan and manage the tasks for Mechanical & Electrical Services & Operations (MSSO) by executing mechanical based property & asset management, supervising energy management, managing mechanical based plant operations and maintenance, supervising mechanical based projects, and executing HSE, risk and process management in order to achieve the stipulated objectives and targets while fulfilling the needs of the community and in compliance to legal requirements and industry best practices.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Property & Asset Management
Execute and supervise property & asset management by proposing and implementing masterplans and procedures for maintenance with respect to mechanical that are effective and efficient to meet the stipulated objectives and targets inclusive of reliable services which supports the needs of the community and facilitates the creation of value at the university.
Space & Energy Management
Execute and supervise space & energy management by proposing and implementing masterplans and procedures that ensure the effective and efficient utilisation of energy to meet the stipulated objectives and targets inclusive of reliable services which supports the needs of the community and facilitates the creation of value at the university.
Plant Operations and Maintenance
Execute and supervise plant operations and maintenance by supervising mechanical contractors, enforcing work procedures and guidelines for all personnel and contractors and operating all mechanical based equipment such as Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC), Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG), Lift, Fire Protection Services and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to meet the stipulated objectives and targets while in compliance to all legal requirements and industry best practices.
Project Management
Lead, plan and execute project management related to mechanical by acting as owner representative in enforcing plans and work instruction that are safe, effective, efficient and cost optimised and reporting overall project performance and completion deadlines to meet the stipulated objectives and targets while in compliance to all legal requirements and industry best practices.
HSE, Risk and Process Management
Execute implementation of the standards for HSE and risk management related to plant, property, asset, construction, transportation and project management by enforcing, executing and utilising the relevant tools and processes such as PSM (Process Safety Management), JSP (Job Safety Analysis) and HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) to ensure adherence to all legal requirements and industry best practices.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Recognised Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field
More than 5 years of experience in relevant field
Professional qualification and advanced degree would be an added advantage
