Job Summary
- Develop and manage knowledge and resources to inculcate knowledge culture and nurture the Communities of Practice within MCMC and its stakeholders with an effective and efficient information for retrieval.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all MCMC requisitions, accurately select and acquire materials, and deliver them on time in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure within the approved budget.
- Manage all KMRC collections and systematically catalogue (RDA, MARC21, Dewey) following the International Standard Cataloguing Rules.
- Manage and monitor the availability and accessibility of the library system for all users, ensuring the database is updated and that accessibility is systematically facilitated.
- Manage, plan, advise and monitor the centralized budget for MCMC knowledge materials and subscriptions.
- Develop and manage the annual publication of .myConvergence magazine.
- Proficiency in Knowledge Management development and practices.
- Monitor and attend to inquiries captured in the database regarding purchase, budget, circulation, and subscriptions in an effective and timely manner.
- Knowledge in Data Management and strong analytical and data interpretation skills would be an added advantage.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Ad Hoc assignments/tasks — to undertake and participate in any initiative and event as per MCMC's business requirements and direction.
Qualification & Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree in library/information management specialize in Library Management with minimum CGPA of 3.00
- A master's degree in any related field is an added advantage
- A knowledge management certificate or higher is an added advantage
- Minimum 8 years of experience in managing a special library.
- 8 years in managing acquisition and cataloguing.

Technical Competencies/Skills
- Cataloguing skills — Familiarity with international cataloguing standards and RDA and cataloguing tools such as DDC, LCSH, and AACR.
- Familiar with handling various library systems
- Subject knowledge — Preferably on Data and publications
- Language skills — Bahasa Melayu and English (spoken and written)
