Job Purpose

This role will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, rewards program administration, and HR operations while serving as a business partner to designated branches of Johor, Segamat, Kulai, Bandar Botanic, Klang and Singapore (Agere).

This role ensures accurate payroll, effective rewards management, and compliance with People & Culture (P&C) policies and statutory requirements, while also delivering proactive P&C advisory to support business and people strategies.

Job Responsibilities

Payroll & Rewards

  • Administer and process monthly end-to-end payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, Income Tax, HRDF).
  • Prepare payroll reports, conduct reconciliations, and handle employee payroll-related queries.
  • Support the execution of compensation and benefits programs, including allowances, incentives, and annual salary benchmarking exercises.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of rewards-related policies and programs.
  • Conduct data analysis and prepare reports on compensation trends, internal equity, and market benchmarking.
  • Support the annual performance review, increment, and bonus cycle.

HR Operations

  • Manage employee lifecycle processes, including confirmation, probation extension, and Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) administration.
  • Draft, issue, and maintain HR-related letters (confirmation, probation, PIP, transfers, etc.).
  • Ensure proper documentation, filing, and maintenance of personnel records in compliance with P&C policies.
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR processes and policies.

Business Partnering

  • Serve as the P&C point of contact for designated business units, providing advisory on P&C policies, processes, and employment regulations.
  • Partner with managers to support workforce planning, employee engagement, and performance management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify P&C solutions that address operational and people-related challenges.
  • Support employee relations matter by providing advice on policies, procedures, and basic ER/IR issues.

General HR Support

  • Contribute to HR projects, including employer branding, career fairs, and employee engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional P&C teams (Talent Acquisition, Talent Growth & Mastery, Payroll, and Rewards) to ensure smooth P&C service delivery.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 35 years of relevant HR experience, with hands-on exposure to payroll processing, rewards/compensation, HR operations, and business partnering.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysia's statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, Income Tax, Employment Act, HRDF).
  • Knowledge and experience in employee lifecycle management (confirmation, probation, PIP, issuance of letters).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret P&C data and provide insights.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with employees and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong business acumen with a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proactive in identifying process improvements and contributing to P&C strategy.
