Position: Senior Executive, System Change Control Management - Banking

PERMANENT position

Location: KL

JOB PURPOSE:

* Scrutinize daily system changes based on the relevance, timeliness, priority and importance of changes introduced into the system, across the Maybank Group, which may include subsidiaries and Overseas Units.

Identify and highlight to Line Manager, known or potential issues associated with any system change introduced.

Closely monitor all outstanding system change requests awaiting consideration or action; diagnose and refer any system changes that have backed out.

Promote compliance culture among stakeholders in overall IT Change Management policies, procedures, processes and standard practises.

Ensure the execution of the established and revised system workflow complying with the Regional SDLC processes so that synchronization and standardization across the Maybank Group is firmly grounded.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & OUTCOMES:

1. Scrutinize daily system changes

- Ensure all system changes comply with Group policy and system change procedures.

Outcome: All system changes are successfully implemented within planned timeframes.

2. Identify and highlight issues related to system changes

- Ensure major system implementations are compliant and not disrupted by unplanned system changes.

Outcome: Major system implementations are successful.

3. Monitor all outstanding system changes

- Ensure compliance with SDLC and closure of changes upon completion.

Outcome: System implementations are successful and duly closed.

4. Instil continuous process improvement of IT Change Management

- Monitor and track changes to ensure compliance with IT Change Management Procedure.

- Administer ITSM tool usage for Change Management.

- Solicit feedback from stakeholders.

- Continuously improve policies, procedures, processes, and standard practices.

Outcome: Improved effectiveness in change processes, including timeliness, maturity of descriptions, planning, and assessments.

5. Monitor usage of change management tools

- Perform independent assessments of change management maturity.

- Organize and coordinate change management communications.

- Validate and monitor KPIs to track process effectiveness.

- Outcome: Positive user acceptance, increased reference to documented processes, and improved quantifiable indicators.

6. Highlight to Unit Head for authorization or rejection of system changes

- Ensure system changes meet SLA with minimized downtime.

- Outcome: All system changes are authorized and meet SLA with minimal business disruption.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Qualifications:

- Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business IT, or related discipline.

- Professional certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, Six Sigma, CISA, or related IT certifications are an added advantage.

- Minimum 23 years of experience in IT change management, service management, or related fields, preferably in MNC or financial institutions.

Competencies:

- Wellversed in ITIL framework.

- Knowledge and experience at ITIL Foundation level.

- Knowledge and experience at Change Management Practitioner level.

- Familiarity with Change Management tools.

- Strong knowledge of banking systems and IT processes.

- Strong understanding of technology stacks, SDLC, Agile, IT infrastructure, and enterprise-scale service management operations.

- Strong technical background (networking, Wintel, Unix, storage, and banking applications).

- Independent, resourceful, willing to take challenges, and able to manage work groups.

- Effective planning skills with clear, measurable objectives.

- Strong relationship management and conflict resolution skills.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong problemsolving skills with ability to resolve issues quickly.

- Strong decisionmaking skills with objective evaluation of alternatives.

- Strong office administration skills.

- Selfmotivated, proactive, emotionally intelligent, and able to prioritize effectively.
