Role Overview
The Senior Executive, Talent Acquisition is responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment activities for retail store operations. This role focuses on sourcing, screening, and hiring suitable candidates while partnering closely with Hiring Managers to support business manpower needs. The incumbent will also contribute to employer branding initiatives and ensure recruitment practices comply with Malaysian employment laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Source candidates for retail store positions (e.g. Pharmacists, Sales Assistants, Cashiers, and Store Supervisors) through job portals, social media platforms, employee referrals, walk-ins, and career fairs.
- Conduct resume screening, phone screenings, and initial interviews to assess candidate suitability.
- Coordinate and arrange interviews with HR Business Partners, Hiring Managers - Store Managers, and Area Managers.
- Work closely with Hiring Managers on candidate selection and recruitment decisions.
- Conduct reference checks and employment verification when required.
- Manage the offer process, including preparing offers and briefing shortlisted candidates on employment terms and conditions.
- Ensure recruitment and selection activities comply with Malaysian employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Support recruitment marketing and employer branding initiatives to attract quality retail talent.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and ensure timely updates in recruitment systems and reports.
- Support ad-hoc HR and recruitment-related projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in retail or high-volume recruitment, preferably within the Retail or FMCG industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple hiring requirements across different store locations.
- Good understanding of Malaysian labor laws and retail hiring practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and recruitment platforms.
- Strong organizational, coordination, and time management skills.
