Job Summary
Manage and coordinate national technology roadmap initiatives, regulatory engagements, and strategic advocacy aligned with the Strategic Communications and Multimedia Technology Roadmap (MyTMAP2030), in support of Malaysia's digital transformation agenda, ensuring effective regulation, innovation enablement, and quality service delivery to the public.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, manage, and oversee initiatives under MyTMAP2030 to ensure the technology roadmap remains current, aligned with national communications and multimedia policy objectives, and relevant to emerging industry trends.
- Review, monitor, and assess MyTMAP2030 initiatives to ensure alignment with communications and multimedia policies, strategic priorities, and evolving technology trends.
- Analyse Trial, Experiment and Demonstration (TED) applications on technology development trend and to support technology forecasting on MyTMAP2030 Oversee fixed services technologies under MyTMAP2030 as the subject-matter-expert to identify relevant technologies, ensure strategic alignment, and maintain technology relevance in the technology roadmap.
- Support the SME on the broadcast services technologies under the MyTMAP2030 to identify relevant technologies, ensure strategic alignment, and maintain technology relevance in the technology roadmap.
- Plan, develop, and manage the Digital Outlook Series (DOS) as a platform for strategic discussions, industry insights, and future technology trends.
- Coordinate Electromagnetic Field (EMF) advocacy initiatives, including public engagement, awareness programmes, and technical briefings.
- Participate in the development of industry technical codes aligned with fixed services technologies under MyTMAP2030 to support consistent implementation and industry alignment to the technology roadmap.
- Participate and develop a recommendation document and contribution papers for submission to national and international standardisation activities (ITU, ASTAP, MTSFB, Standards Malaysia, etc.).
- Liaise with other government agencies as a subject-matter expert in fixed and broadcast services technology.
- Guide and mentor subordinates and peers on work and experience to ensure knowledge transfer and improved work efficiency.
Qualification & Work Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/ Electronic/ Telecommunication/Computer Engineering or any equivalent from a recognized university.
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant working experience in the communications & multimedia industry.
- Clear understanding of the regulatory framework under the CMA 1998 and its subsidiary legislation.
