JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Monitors and evaluates plant performance with the objective of maintaining highest operating efficiency and plant reliability
- Develops and updates plant performance monitoring programs for continuous performance monitoring
- Highlights deviations in unit consumption ratios, emissions, waste generations and other relevant KPIs to the plant operation team
2. Performs process studies and recommends areas for improvement in the process and operating procedures
- Evaluates operating conditions and compare to similar plants elsewhere to identify opportunity for improvement
- Elaborates and discusses with plant operation teams to gain more insights into the identified area of improvement
3. Coordinates implementation of plant improvement initiatives and execution of capital expenditure projects
- Coordinates the workflow of Management of Change (MOC) procedures for all plant modifications and new projects within the Site Utilities & Verbund Management (SU)
- Contributes inputs to the project team on the concept of modifications, risks assessment, windows for implementation
4. Updates Supervisory Operation Manual to incorporates new findings and changes to the plant
- Updates the plant process manuals plants regularly to reflect changes done and new findings as advised by the technology group
- Communicates changes to the content of the process manuals to the operation teams
JOB REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering with minimum 4 years in Oil/Gas, Petrochemicals industries
- Able to perform steady state simulation by using Aspen HYSYS / Aspen Plus
- Able to perform preliminary heat exchanger sizing by using Aspen EDR
- Able to perform hydraulic/ line sizing calculation / simulation for both compressible and incompressible fluids
- Able to perform / review and contribute to pressure relief devices sizing, selection and installation.
- Able to perform / review and contribute to Alarm Management
- Able to perform P&ID reviews independently and address the deviation as per internal procedure workflow
- Able to lead in exploring new technology with vendors or collaborate with vendors for potential added-value products or studies for long-term plant improvement.
- Able to produce a comprehensive technical report as part of process improvement studies deliverable
- Able to perform mass and energy balance based on available historian data
- Able to read and utilize piping isometric and GA drawing as needed
- Able to read and utilize process / equipment datasheet as needed
- Able to generate mark-up PFD and mark-up P&ID for new project or plant modification project
- Able to generate potential technical solutions from constraints
- Able to facilitate or advise operation crews on developing matured proposal from raw ideas
