Job Description

As the Senior Finance Analyst you are responsible for the accounting and record to report (R2R) activities within the FPCRA model.

Responsible in month-end GL (general ledger) close activities and reporting of entity's results, the preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations, and execution of internal control in accordance with Haleon Internal Control Framework.Collaborate with stakeholders, other functions (e.g. P2P, O2C, Stat & Tax), BPO & outsourced Service Provider to ensure successful delivery of all accounting and record to report (R2R) activities. Responsible for the financial reporting of the designated legal entities.

Role Responsibilities

Responsible in the end-to-end Record to Report processes, including GL close and reporting of entity's result, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany, fixed assets, accruals, COGS accounting & Inventory related transactions and statutory inputs. Execution of internal control in accordance with Haleon Internal Control Framework.

  • Provide Record to Report transaction processing support and ensuring delivery quality in terms of accuracy, completeness and timeliness on a daily basis.
  • Resolve general accounting and reporting issues.
  • Execute month end close steps in accordance with month end close checklist (MEC) and SOP's. Ensure all activities on the MEC are updated.
  • Execution of internal controls in accordance with Haleon Internal Control Framework. Partner with Compliance Leads and Controllers to ensure controls operate effectively.
  • Support audit requirements by providing accurate documentation and evidence
  • Review of monthly Balance Sheet schedules & reconciliation and maintain strong balance sheet governance, including reconciliation quality, ageing discipline and issue remediation. Liaise with respective stakeholders of Balance Sheet Reconciliations, specifically open items.
  • Ensure compliance to BSC policies, local company legal and statutory requirements
  • Review backlog and cycle time reports to improve process flow times.
  • Ensure stakeholders queries are attended to and resolved in a timely, responsible and proactive manner.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, other functions (e.g. P2P, O2C, Stat & Tax), BPO & outsourced Service Provider to ensure successful delivery of all accounting and record to report (R2R) activities.
  • Responsible for the financial reporting of the designated legal entities.
  • Perform first level analysis/ analytical review of profit and loss accounts and balance sheet, cost centre checks and transaction posting checks. The incumbent has to be knowledgeable on the principle activities of each designated legal entity.
  • BISON confirmation review
  • Review Corporate reporting (BISON) vs Statutory reconciliation
  • Work with Global Process Owner or Process Improvement Expert's (PIE's) to standardise R2R activities, Update changes to LSOP's and/ or work instructions documentation when required. Assist in the preparation of training materials when required.
  • Other ad-hoc activities:
  • Support dividend payment process and related cashflow analysis/ projection.
  • Participate in any compliance audits and respond to audit queries
  • Such other tasks as HBS management and changing business environment may require to be performed

Ideally, we are looking for a Finance professional with the below:

  • University educated (Degree) in Finance, Accountancy, Business, Economics, IT
  • Professional Accountancy Qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is an added advantage
  • 4 years of R2R experience including areas on financial accounting, reporting and statutory filing, master data maintenance, treasury, asset accounting, inter-company transactions, etc.
  • SAP experience is must
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and displays initiative in solving problems
  • Experience in working in shared service center in financial accounting or auditing
  • Actively seeks to improve processes making them more effective and efficient
  • Must be fluent in English – both written and spoken
  • Attention to detail, good analytical and problem solving capabilities
  • Ability to plan and manage workload to ensure all key deadlines is met.
