Position Summary:
The Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for overseeing landlord reporting, sales exception analysis, loss prevention support, and finance system improvement initiatives to ensure accurate reporting, effective internal controls, and operational efficiency across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Landlord Reporting
- Perform monthly reconciliation of supplier statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain supporting details and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the Business Development (BD) team and Strategy & Development (SD) team on updates to tenancy agreement details and confirmation of negotiation progress.
- Work closely with the payment team to facilitate and follow up on payment processing.
- Monitor and maintain the monthly payment tracker to ensure timely settlement and proper tracking.
- Collaborate with the IT team to enhance and improve Tableau reports used for monitoring, reconciliation, and analysis purposes.
Sales Exception Reporting (SER)
- Prepare the monthly analysis of the Sales Exception Report (SER) and develop the corresponding presentation slide deck.
- Conduct investigations on identified exceptions and hold discussions with brand managers, merchandisers, and retail staff regarding investigation findings and SER observations.
- Support the Receivables / Inventory Controller in reviewing and investigating Point of Sale (POS) related findings.
- Assist the Receivables / Inventory Controller in implementing POS enhancements, including coordinating with IT personnel to facilitate system improvements.
- Support HR and Industrial Relations (IR) in internal investigations involving suspected store fraud, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Loss Prevention (LP)
- Assist the LP Officer in conducting surprise counts across designated locations.
- Prepare surprise count observation reports and follow up with the PIC to ensure resolution of any open matters.
Financial systems and reports enhancements
- Support process improvement initiatives within the payment system and cycle to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist in gathering and consolidating data to support improvements or the transition from the current ERP system to a potential new ERP system.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum a Diploma/Degree in Accounting/ Finance.
- Min. 3-4 years relevant experience in a related field/ comparable retail industry.
