Job Description

Financial Analysis & Budget Planning

  • Partner with the Managing Director to support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and rolling cash flow projections across all APAC entities.
  • Conduct variance analysis between actual and budgeted spend, identifying trends and flagging risks or opportunities to leadership.
  • Provide regular cost and spend analysis to ensure expenditure remains within approved budgets; proactively escalate overspending to the Managing Director.
  • Support business partners with data-driven insights to inform departmental budget planning and resource allocation.

General Accounting

  • Balance and reconcile accounts for all countries across the APAC region, including Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Dubai, and Japan
  • Prepare and file statutory returns, including SST (Malaysia) and GST (Singapore), and support compliance with local tax requirements in Taiwan, Dubai, and Japan
  • Perform month-end bank reconciliations, balance sheet schedules, GL, fixed assets and AP reconciliations for all APAC entities
  • Post monthly accruals, prepayments, revaluations, depreciation, and GST/SST entries accurately and on time

Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Process all AP transactions in line with internal controls, including staff claims, vendor invoices, credit card expenses, and petty cash.
  • Develop and maintain key controls and SOPs for AP functions, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
  • Ensure all payments align with the company's authorisation matrix; manage vendor and stakeholder relationships to resolve disputes, tax issues, and contract queries.
  • Conduct quarterly intercompany repayment analysis and process related payments.
  • Support year-end audits, ensuring all required documentation is submitted to auditors in a timely manner

Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Update and allocate daily cash sheets across all bank accounts in the region.
  • Coordinate with credit controllers to ensure accurate payment allocations and manage AR mailboxes across all regional entities.

What We're Looking

  • 4+ years experience in a finance, accounts payable, or accounting role, ideally with exposure to multiple APAC markets.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting budget planning, forecasting, or financial analysis, not transactional accounting alone.
  • Strong working knowledge of statutory filing requirements (e.g. GST, SST) across one or more APAC jurisdictions.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to build and interpret financial models and reports.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to liaise with senior leadership, auditors, and external vendors.
  • A proactive, detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
