We are currently looking for a Senior Finance Executive/Finance Executive (External contract) to support the financial operations of BMW Group Malaysia.
This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing accounting processes and driving compliance with statutory, regulatory and Group requirements.
Your responsibilities include:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Manage accounting activities and month-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Prepare and review journal postings, account reconciliations and closing documentation.
- Deliver monthly, quarterly and year-end management and financial reporting requirements.
- Support group reporting submissions and ensure data accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable
- Oversee accounts receivable processes including cash receipts, debit and credit notes, ageing analysis and collection follow-ups.
- Support accounts payable operations including supplier invoice processing, staff claims, intercompany recharges and payment execution.
- Monitor and maintain strong financial controls across accounting processes.
Audit, Compliance & Regulatory Reporting
- Coordinate statutory audit activities and liaise with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
- Prepare statutory financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Support government and industry reporting submissions, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and reporting requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes, controls and operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across BMW Group entities, regional teams and external business partners.
- Act as a key point of contact for auditors, service providers and regulatory authorities on finance-related matters.
- Support management with financial insights, reporting requirements and process updates.
Your profile:
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related professional qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance functions.
- Experience in statutory reporting and audit coordination is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- High level of accuracy, ownership and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
