Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the finance team, including managers and analysts.
  • Oversee preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses in compliance with standards.
  • Present monthly financial statements, reports, and forecasts to top management.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Drive annual budgeting and forecasting with department heads and senior leaders.
  • Provide financial insights to support business decisions, investments, and costsaving actions.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure for optimal resource use.
  • Monitor financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with auditors, tax advisors, and regulators to ensure compliance.
  • Enhance financial systems, processes, and controls for greater efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and financial evaluation.
  • Lead financial projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and provide leadership to the finance team.
  • Identify and implement training programs to upskill finance staff and strengthen competencies.
  • Keep uptodate with industry trends and changes in accounting standards to adjust strategies accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; Master's or MBA is an added advantage.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CFA, CA, or MIA membership is required or highly preferred.
  • 1015 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or strategic financial management, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven experience in corporate finance, financial planning, strategic management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Preferred background in healthcare and corporate services.
  • Advantageous experience in M&A, capital raising, strategic planning, valuations, or investment analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
