Job Description

Our client is a fast-growing financial services and technology platform with an expanding presence across Southeast Asia. Operating in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment, the business provides innovative financing solutions to consumers and businesses across the region. As part of its continued growth plans, including preparations for a future capital markets event, the company is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager / Assistant Financial Controller to be based in Singapore.

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of the company's day-to-day finance operations and financial control activities. This is a highly hands-on role within a lean team environment, where you will be responsible for month-end and year-end close activities, management reporting, financial analysis, treasury oversight, cash flow planning, and statutory compliance.

You will partner closely with the business to provide meaningful insights into product and business performance, while assessing the impact on liquidity, treasury requirements, and financial planning. In addition, you will support accounting for financing-related products, oversee credit provisioning activities where applicable, manage relationships with auditors and external advisors, and drive process improvements through the effective use of ERP systems and automation initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring the finance function remains scalable, efficient, and audit-ready as the business continues to grow.

Qualifications

Degree qualified with a professional accounting qualification such as CA Singapore, CPA, or ACCA, you possess 7-10 years of relevant accounting and finance experience gained from a combination of audit and commercial environments. Experience within financial services, fintech, lending, banking, credit financing, or other regulated industries would be advantageous but is not essential.

You bring strong technical accounting capabilities, hands-on experience managing full-set accounts, month-end close processes, financial reporting, and treasury management. Exposure to credit provisioning, loan portfolio accounting, or financing-related products would be highly regarded. Experience working with ERP systems and driving process improvements is important, while Oracle NetSuite exposure would be an advantage. You are commercially minded, pragmatic, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where adaptability and a hands-on approach are essential.
