Role Overview
The Senior Finance Manager supports the Managing Director in managing core finance functions, ensuring accurate reporting, operational efficiency, and strong financial controls while contributing to business performance analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day finance operations ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes with timely reporting
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and assist in treasury-related activities
- Ensure accuracy of financial reporting and assist in monthly and year-end closing
- Support tax compliance, audit processes, and statutory reporting requirements
- Analyze financial performance, including sales, margins, and operational costs
- Provide insights on business trends and support decision-making with data analysis
- Monitor inventory, cost control, and operational efficiency within a retail environment
- Assist in strengthening internal controls, governance, and finance processes
- Support system improvements and reporting enhancements across finance functions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations and commercial teams
- Assist in preparing reports for senior management and stakeholders
- Supervise and guide junior finance team members to ensure quality deliverables
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent) is preferred
- 8–12 years of finance experience, preferably within retail, FMCG, or e-commerce
- Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis
- Exposure to inventory and retail finance operations is an advantage
- Good understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
