Role Description
Respond.io is scaling rapidly following our Series A, with a clear ambition to build a best-in-class, future-ready finance function.
We're hiring a Senior Finance Specialist to sit within our Accounting & Planning function. This is a senior individual contributor role, equivalent in scope and compensation to a Finance Manager, designed for someone who thrives on ownership, complexity, and impact rather than people management.
You will own the integrity of the numbers, lead critical finance processes, and act as a trusted thought partner to leadership on performance, planning, and financial decision-making.
This role is ideal for someone with experience across accounting, reporting, and FP&A who wants breadth, autonomy, and real influence in a high-growth SaaS environment.
Responsibilities:
- Own month-end close, core accounting processes, and balance sheet integrity, ensuring audit-ready financials
- Deliver management reports, variance analysis, and actionable financial insights
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting cycles with a strong understanding of business drivers
- Apply sound accounting judgement and support audits, compliance, and internal controls
- Build and improve financial models to support decision-making and scenario analysis
- Drive automation, process improvements, and data quality across finance workflows
- Partner closely with stakeholders across the business and provide ad-hoc commercial analysis
- Mentor junior team members where applicable
Qualifications:
- 57+ years of relevant finance experience, with meaningful hands-on FP&A or commercial finance exposure
- Background in Big Four plus in-house FP&A / commercial finance experience is strongly preferred
- (Big Four audit alone will not be sufficient for this role)
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW) are a strong plus
- Strong analytical judgement, attention to detail, and ability to operate with autonomy
- Clear communicator who can translate numbers into business implications
- Comfortable working in a scaling, ambiguous, high-growth SaaS environment
Here's what's in for you
- You will become part of an amazing culture with smart, collaborative teammates who actually care about each other's growth and success.
- You will grow more here than you would anywhere else, that is a promise.
- Virtual events like talent shows, Among Us nights, and online game sessions to keep the fun going, no matter where you are!
- We offer a highly competitive compensation package.
- You'll receive a medical allowance to support your health and wellness needs.
- Flexible working environment and working hours that fit your lifestyle, wherever you're based.
