Role Description
This is a full-time or Contract role for a Financial Accountant based in Malaysia. The role is fully work from home.
The Financial Accountant will be responsible for preparing, managing financial reporting, utilizing accounting software, and supporting finance operations. The role focuses more on the private funds industry, but there are also other industries to manage too.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in preparing and managing Financial Statements and conducting Financial Reporting
- Strong Analytical Skills and foundational knowledge in Accounting
- Have fund accounting and fund administration experience in preparing NAV, CAS, Investors Reporting and Regulatory reporting
- Experience in Consolidating multiple jurisdictions and different shareholding structure is added advantage
- Experience/Familiar with Fair Value, Exchange Rates and investments
- Interest in managing multiple clients across multiple industries as well
- Experience with Accounting Software is an additional advantage
- Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and problem-solving skills
- Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA & MIA) are preferred but not mandatory
- Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements within funds industry (SC, AMLA, MAS, LFSA)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and to work remotely
- Associate Role: min 2 years experience
- Senior Role: min. 3 years experience
- Language: High Proficiency in English. Mandarin speakers added advantage (due to client's profile)
