About the Role
Alyka is seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Developer with strong expertise in custom
WordPress development. The ideal candidate will be someone who builds websites from the ground
up not using page builders and can translate Figma designs into clean, maintainable, and
responsive code.
This role is perfect for a developer who thrives in a fast-paced digital environment and enjoys
creating scalable, well-structured front-end solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (no
page builders).
Translate Figma or XD designs into fully functional and responsive websites.
Implement Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and Custom Post Types (CPTs) to create dynamic
and editable content.
Work with WordPress theme hierarchy, template parts, and reusable components.
Manage version control using Git (GitHub / Bitbucket) and deploy changes through staging
environments.
Optimize front-end performance and ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
Troubleshoot and debug front-end or theme-related issues using console logs or PHP error
logs.
Collaborate closely with designers, back-end developers, and project managers to deliver
high-quality digital experiences.
Requirements
Minimum 36 years of experience in front-end or WordPress development.
Strong understanding of WordPress theme hierarchy, hooks, and template structure.
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and PHP.
Experience with ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), Custom Post Types, and WordPress APIs.
Familiarity with front-end libraries or frameworks such as jQuery, GSAP, Swiper, Bootstrap,
or Tailwind CSS.
Hands-on experience with Git and staging/deployment workflows.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Ability to write clean, organized, and reusable code.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with modern JS frameworks (React, Vue, or similar).
Understanding of SEO best practices and website performance optimization.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines or cloud deployment environments.
