Senior Full Stack Web Developer

Project Description:

Our Client a leading bank in Asia with a global network of more than 500 branches and offices in 19 countries and territories in Asia Pacific, Europe and North America are looking for Consultants to be part of the project

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.

The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.

The selected resource will be working in a newly setup technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.

Responsibilities:

1. Full Stack Application Development

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications for internal business and corporate tooling needs.

• Develop backend application logic using Python and Django.

• Build and enhance frontend components using:

- JavaScript

- jQuery

- HTML/CSS

2. Requirement Analysis & Solution Design

• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand functional requirements.

• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Perform impact analysis for enhancements, change requests, and new development.

3. Database Development

• Work with Microsoft SQL Server for:

- database design

- SQL query development

- data validation

- performance tuning

4. Testing & Deployment

• Perform unit testing and support integration testing.

• Assist in application deployment and release activities.

• Ensure application quality, stability, and performance.

5. Production Support & Maintenance

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

• Perform bug fixing, application enhancements, and performance optimization.

• Provide ongoing support for business-critical corporate tools.

6. Linux Server Environment

• Work in Linux server environments for deployment, debugging, and application support.

• Support application configuration and environment-related troubleshooting.

7. Collaboration & Technical Guidance

• Work closely with developers, QA teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders.

• As a senior resource, provide technical guidance and support to junior team members when required.

Mandatory Skills Description:

• 6-9 years of experience in application development

• Strong hands-on experience in:

- Python

- Django

• Strong frontend development experience in:

- JavaScript

- jQuery

- HTML/CSS

• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server

• Experience working in Linux server environments

• Full stack web development experience

• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication and stakeholder interaction skills

• Ability to work independently in a senior hands-on role

• Good design and troubleshooting capability
