Senior Functional Solution Analyst, Core Deposit & Lending

1. The senior Functional Solution Analyst (FSA) clarifies and translates business requirement to IT system functional requirement and system interaction and flows. FSA works collaboratively with the business users and technical delivery teams in developing scalable and flexible IT solutions including studying both business and system impact, creating user stories, functional design, test strategy, support delivery till goes live and post live support
2. Understand business context of the business requirement, assess if there are gaps, and work with business to update the business requirement document. The business requirement document must cover business needs, compliance needs, data governance and security needs
3. Familiar with existing IT system functionalities and functional flows
4. Based on the understood business requirements, conceptualize and translate to become list of system features needed
5. Based on the translated system feature list, analyze the impact on the existing IT systems, determine required changes to existing IT systems and/or new systems required to be built, as well as the necessary functional interaction / integration between the IT systems
6. Develop functional solution design specifications that IT Technical team can use and develop the corresponding technical solution design specification. The functional solution design specification must incorporate features and flows that fulfill bank's compliance, security, data governance policy and standards established in the bank
7. Participate in project meetings to provide clarity and guidance to the technical delivery team on the functional solution design specification. Update the functional solution design specification as and when necessary
8. Develop test cases and test scripts to test and confirm the delivered IT systems work as per specified by the functional solution design specification
9. Analyze, assess impact, prioritize and update functional solution design document for any additional change requests raised by business
10. Assist in production deployment planning (e.g. IT and business approval, readiness check, live test)
11. When needed, provide post-go live functional support till stabilization

Job requirements

1. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
2. Minimum 8 years of experience in a specific Banking industry especially in Core Deposit and Lending products and the end-to-end process life cycle.
3. Requirements elicitation through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and document analysis.
4. Writing high-quality Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Requirements Specifications (FRS), User Stories, Use Cases, Process Flows and Acceptance Criteria.
5. Strong understanding of business processes, regulations, and industry best practices.
6. Ability to identify business challenges and recommend process improvements.
7. Good stakeholder management skills. Able to work effectively with Business Users, Product Owners, Project Managers and Developers.
8. Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts.
10. Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams.
11. Facilitate workshops and decision-making sessions.
12. Process mapping (As-Is and To-Be).
13. Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical thinking, problem-solving, critical thinking, presentation and facilitation skills.
