About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Finance team at RHB Investment Banking. In this role, you will take ownership of complex preparation and consolidation of financial reports for the RHBIB Entity and Group, ensuring integrity and alignment with Group objectives. You will play a critical role in overseeing regulatory reporting, managing key relationships with regulators and auditors, and leading the implementation of new accounting standards to drive our reporting excellence.
What You Will Be Doing
- Financial Reporting & Consolidation: Take ownership of complex preparation and consolidation of financial reports for RHBIB Entity and Group, ensuring integrity and alignment with Group objectives (Group Financial Reports, Monthly Financial Reports, Business/Functional Pillar Reporting).
- Regulatory Compliance: Oversee regulatory reporting preparation for submission to regulators (BNM, Bursa, SC), ensuring full compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage regulator and auditor queries, representing Finance in discussions to safeguard reporting integrity.
- Audit Oversight: Drive the process for the appointment of external auditors, including reviewing and negotiating audit fees.
- Standards Implementation: Lead the implementation of new accounting standards and BNM regulations across all reporting processes.
- Strategic Initiatives: Direct initiatives requiring RHBIB Entity and Group financial information, such as structured warrants prospectuses and insurance renewals.
- Subsidiary Governance: Ensure financial reporting requirements for all subsidiaries are accurate and aligned with Group standards.
- Team Leadership: Delegate and monitor ad-hoc assignments to ensure departmental objectives are achieved efficiently and within deadlines.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in financial reporting and consolidation, preferably within the investment banking or financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and BNM regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in managing regulatory and auditor relationships.
- Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead initiatives and drive process improvements.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high integrity in financial reporting.
