Primary Duties & Responsibilities
The HR Business Partner is a strategic and operational leader responsible for driving HR excellence across Malaysia operations. This role supports business growth by aligning HR strategies with organizational goals & business objectives, fostering a values-driven culture, and ensuring compliance with global and local employment standards.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in high-tech manufacturing, startup environments, Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) labour requirements, and navigating complex, matrixed reporting structures.
Strategic HR Leadership
- Partner with senior leadership to implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives and core values.
- Lead organizational development initiatives and support change management efforts.
- Operate effectively within a highly matrixed global organization, collaborating across multiple reporting lines and geographies to deliver results.
- Drive and own end-to-end Human Strategy planning, execution and effectiveness to enable business success
Talent Management & Development
- Drive talent acquisition strategies to support rapid growth and innovation.
- Lead performance management, succession planning, and leadership development programs for the business and HR.
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Champion a culture of inclusion, mutual respect, and open communication.
- Lead employee engagement surveys and action planning.
Compensation & Benefits
- Ensure competitive and equitable compensation practices.
- Drive benefits programs and wellness initiatives aligned with company's philosophy.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Lead implementation and monitoring of RBA labour standards, ensuring ethical labour practices and compliance with global and local regulations.
- Manage employee relations, investigations, and grievance procedures with integrity and fairness.
HR Operations & Analytics
- Optimize HR systems and processes for scalability and efficiency.
- Use data-driven insights to inform decisions and measure HR effectiveness.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Science or equivalent
- 7+ years of similar experience/exposure in electronics manufacturing environment. Well versed in Labour Laws, Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, local industrial, statutory requirements and prevailing Human Resource Practices and Legislation.
- Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, availability of buddy, duration of learning, etc.
