Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

The HR Business Partner is a strategic and operational leader responsible for driving HR excellence across Malaysia operations. This role supports business growth by aligning HR strategies with organizational goals & business objectives, fostering a values-driven culture, and ensuring compliance with global and local employment standards.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in high-tech manufacturing, startup environments, Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) labour requirements, and navigating complex, matrixed reporting structures.

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Partner with senior leadership to implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives and core values.
  • Lead organizational development initiatives and support change management efforts.
  • Operate effectively within a highly matrixed global organization, collaborating across multiple reporting lines and geographies to deliver results.
  • Drive and own end-to-end Human Strategy planning, execution and effectiveness to enable business success

Talent Management & Development

  • Drive talent acquisition strategies to support rapid growth and innovation.
  • Lead performance management, succession planning, and leadership development programs for the business and HR.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Champion a culture of inclusion, mutual respect, and open communication.
  • Lead employee engagement surveys and action planning.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Drive benefits programs and wellness initiatives aligned with company's philosophy.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Lead implementation and monitoring of RBA labour standards, ensuring ethical labour practices and compliance with global and local regulations.
  • Manage employee relations, investigations, and grievance procedures with integrity and fairness.

HR Operations & Analytics

  • Optimize HR systems and processes for scalability and efficiency.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform decisions and measure HR effectiveness.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Science or equivalent
  • 7+ years of similar experience/exposure in electronics manufacturing environment. Well versed in Labour Laws, Employment Act 1955, Industrial Relations Act 1967, local industrial, statutory requirements and prevailing Human Resource Practices and Legislation.
  • Candidates without appropriate experience may be accepted by the hiring manager subject to job nature, availability of buddy, duration of learning, etc.
