Medical Device Manufacturer is looking for a Senior HSE Officer in Penang!

My client is a global organisation operating within the medical and healthcare technology sector. With a strong emphasis on quality, compliance, and operational excellence, the company continues to invest in sustainable growth and workplace safety initiatives. They are now looking for a Senior HSE Officer to join their company at Mainland, Penang. In this role, you will work closely with operational teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, strengthen safety culture, and drive continuous improvement across HSE programmes. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while partnering with stakeholders across the business.

Your new role

• Develop and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
  
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
  
• Deliver HSE training, employee inductions, and safety awareness programmes.
  
• Lead emergency preparedness activities, safety drills, and preventive improvement initiatives.
  
• Monitor safety performance, maintain documentation, and provide regular reporting to management.
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Health, or a related discipline.
  
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience within manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or similar environments.
  
• Strong understanding of Malaysian occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.
  
• Experience in risk management, incident investigation, compliance audits, and safety training.
  
• Green Book certification is an added advantage.
