Senior HR Manager, Manufacturing plant Johore – Kulai location
Charterhouse are supporting a prestigious MNC in their search for a Senior HR Manager to support 2 manufacturing plants with a headcount of around 1,400 within a non-unionized environment
This person will oversee a team of 10 in HR and they will need to have a solid background in manufacturing HR and leading and managing a team whilst being very hands on and keeping close to the factory floor.
Strong experience of managing workers hostels and employee relations is essential.
Responsibilities
- Lead effective employee relations and on the effective resolution cases and represent the organisation in personnel-related hearings and investigations - Prior experience is essential.
- Maintain retention standards and oversee all talent management and development activities
- Prepare reports and recommend initiatives to reduce absenteeism and employee turnover.
- Develop and maintain HR systems that provide senior management with accurate and timely workforce information.
- Analyse and review wage and salary data to ensure competitive compensation plans.
- Oversee inhouse payroll to ensure timely and accurate processes and procedures.
- Work with legal counsel to ensure HR policies comply with applicable employment laws and regulations.
- Monitor legal requirements and government reporting obligations affecting HR, ensuring policies, procedures, and reporting remain compliant.
- Oversee the analysis, maintenance, and communication of statutory and organisational HR records.
- Respond to enquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programmes.
- Manage performance review and salary administration programmes to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and internal equity.
- Administer employee benefits programmes, including insurance, pension plans, leave, and employee assistance programmes.
- Prepare and manage the HR operations budget and manage relationships with external service providers, including temporary staffing agencies, search firms, and relocation providers
- Prepare employee separation documentation and conduct exit interviews to understand reasons for departure.
Attributes
- Degree in Human Resources or Business
- Minimum of 10 years progressive HR experience manufacturing
- Strong end to end HR experience who can oversee HR Operations and manage HR strategy with excellent communication skills
