We are seeking an experienced
Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, implement, and support advanced IT and AI infrastructure solutions across enterprise on-premises, virtualised, AI-enabled, and hybrid platforms.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain core IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualisation, AI platforms, and enterprise systems
- Provide technical recommendations and best practices to optimise infrastructure performance, availability, scalability, and capacity
- Lead and support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident resolution for infrastructure-related issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver infrastructure solutions aligned with business and project needs
- Develop, maintain, and improve infrastructure architecture documentation, standards, and operational guidelines
- Ensure infrastructure compliance with security and regulatory frameworks such as RMiT, CAF, NIST, and ISO 27001
- Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) and other security controls across infrastructure components
- Automate infrastructure deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks using scripting, automation tools, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams
- Work closely with IT security teams to strengthen and enhance infrastructure security posture
Must-have
What You Bring
- Minimum 6 to 9 years of overall experience in IT infrastructure engineering, implementation, and support
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on L3 experience in enterprise infrastructure environments
- Strong hands-on experience in server, storage, virtualisation, and enterprise infrastructure technologies
- Exposure to or working knowledge of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experience supporting hybrid infrastructure environments across on-premises and cloud-integrated platforms
- Experience in troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, root cause analysis, and major incident resolution
- Good understanding of infrastructure security controls, including identity and access management (IAM)
- Experience with automation, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Knowledge of industry standards and security/regulatory frameworks such as RMiT, CAF, NIST, and ISO 27001
- Experience in preparing and maintaining infrastructure architecture documentation, standards, and technical guidelines
