We are seeking an experienced Senior Inspector to lead and oversee our inspection operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with client and industry requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for operational planning, manpower optimization, technical quality, project delivery, HSE compliance, and the development of inspection personnel.
This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), inspection services, and offshore operations within the Oil & Gas industry.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Plan and optimize manpower allocation across inspection contracts to maximize productivity and operational efficiency.
- Ensure effective utilization of inspectors through multi-skill deployment and resource planning.
- Monitor operational costs while maintaining service quality and client satisfaction.
Technical Leadership
- Review and approve technical inspection reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Ensure all inspection activities comply with applicable industry codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and support to inspection teams.
Talent Development
- Lead, coach, and develop ASNT Level II Inspectors.
- Ensure new inspectors achieve competency and obtain all required offshore certifications within the planned timeline.
- Conduct competency assessments and identify development opportunities.
Project Management
- Manage inspection projects in accordance with OTOBOS (On Time, On Budget, On Scope).
- Coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure timely project execution.
- Monitor project progress, resolve operational issues, and ensure contract deliverables are achieved.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Promote a strong safety culture across all inspection activities.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and client safety requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement to achieve Zero Lost Time Injury (LTI) and Zero Client Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
Requirements
Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in NDT or inspection services
- Certified ASNT Level II (Level III certification is an added advantage).
- Strong understanding of offshore inspection operations and client contract requirements.
- Experience in manpower planning, project coordination, and operational management.
- Good knowledge of international inspection standards and quality management systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willing to travel to offshore and client sites when required.
