My client is the regional Technology and Innovation hub for a fast-growing, digital-first life and health insurance group in Asia.
We are seeking a highly capable Senior Investment Accounting Manager to support the Finance function for the insurance entity across APAC.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the Investment Accounting team and provide technical expertise and solution design for investment accounting processes and the Clearwater platform.
- Review and approve position, cash, and suspense reconciliations for Hong Kong and Group entities, ensuring timely monthly closes within SLAs.
- Act as the Clearwater SME, coordinating with local business units and the vendor to deliver robust solutions for complex assets (e.g. private equity and alternative credit).
- Drive data integration between Bloomberg and Clearwater, and standardise investment transaction recording and pricing across the Group.
- Support consistent Group-wide financial and management reporting, including pricing controls and quarterly SPPI/ECL calculations.
Requirements:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years experience in investment accounting or fund accounting.
- Proven experience leading small teams (preferred).
- Strong expertise in investment accounting systems (Clearwater, PAM, FAM, Portia, or similar) and pricing providers (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of investment products, with exposure to Private Equity and Alternative Credit being an advantage.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, see the big picture, adapt to change, and build high-performing teams.
