Senior Investment Data Governance Lead

A global insurance company has engaged us to identify a capable Senior Investment Data Governance Lead.

This role ensures the effective governance, quality, and availability of enterprise investment data by managing operational processes, tools, and standards that support data integrity, compliance, and accessibility. This role plays a critical part in enabling reliable investment decision-making across the platform while maintaining strong data governance and lifecycle controls.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Data Governance & Quality

• Drive the delivery of accurate, reliable, and high-quality data across the investment platform.
• Own data lifecycle management, data quality standards, and operational controls.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and compliance across investment systems.

Aladdin

• Manage the setup and ongoing maintenance of portfolios and portfolio groups, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
• Validate and maintain Security Master attributes, ensuring alignment across Aladdin, Bloomberg, and internal platforms.
• Review and resolve issues identified in the Aladdin Quality Control – Issuer Cleanup Report, preventing duplicate issuer mappings and maintaining issuer integrity.

Eagle

• Oversee the setup and ongoing maintenance of portfolios and portfolio groups within Eagle.
• Ensure consistent data standards and alignment with upstream and downstream systems.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

• Lead and mentor a small specialist team, ensuring strong delivery and accountability.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of departmental SOPs, ensuring alignment with business processes.
• Partner with stakeholders across Investment, Compliance, Risk, and Operations.

Key Requirements

• Minimum undergraduate degree
• 10+ years of experience in investment data, reference data, or investment operations
• Strong hands-on experience with Aladdin, Bloomberg, Bloomberg AIM, and Eagle
• Experience or knowledge in:
• Sanctions monitoring
• Trade lifecycle
• Compliance
• Reference and transaction data within an asset management environment
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Experience implementing enterprise-level automation, analytics, or AI solutions is a strong advantage
