Senior iOS Developer

About the Role

We are looking for an experience iOS developer to help us build awe-inspiring iOS apps as well as to re-invent our service platform. The Mobile team is responsible for creating great user experience for end users with disruptive features, enabling application architecture, service platform integration, and product development/test tools. HLA is going on a journey of modernization and innovation, in order to be a disruptive force in the insurance industry. We want you to be able to produce great ideas to drive our products into a mobile-first era.

Responsibilities

·       Work closely with the Product, UX/UI and Backend teams to design, build and extend consumer and/or partner facing new products, platforms and features.

·       Monitor the performance of the live apps and continuously improve them on both code and experience level.

·       Raise the bar by reviewing each other's code, share knowledge, tips and tricks, and generally help out - within and across teams.

·       Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

·       Develop tools and libraries that will enable rapid and scalable development in the future.

Requirements

·       Strong understanding of modern programming concepts in Swift.

·       Familiarity with Objective-C.

·       Minimum 5 years experience in implementation, software architecture design, and software development.

·       Minimum 5 years iOS App Development experience.

·       Familiarity with the Apple Human Interface Guidelines.

·       Experience in software development process using Agile and Scrum.

·       Experience with unit, UI testing and software development best practices.

·       Experience with server-side frameworks like Vapor, Kitura or Perfect would be a bonus.

• Experience working closely with back-end developers and understanding of how to consume APIs.
• Experience with source-control practices such as Git and fastidious about code quality.

·       Passionate, Persistent and Creative - you find clever solutions to problems in a non-hacking manner.

·       Research new technology, development methods and tools for day to day activity.

• Agile methodologies experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
