How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Works independently and effectively in his / her area of New Product Introduction by defining and running customer pre-sales activities such as: Product or Solution Demos, Lab Trials, Field Trials, Type Approvals on our products or solutions.
- Work in close coordination with Product Line Management and pre-sales teams to align technical solutions with customer expectations, and advise customers on Nokia-validated design best practices and architecture principles, persuading them to purchase our products and solutions.
- Interprets internal and external business challenges to improve New Product Introduction related processes and services. Also, integrate cross-domain expertise, including cloud and data center networking, and provide support as a trusted advisor.
- Solve complex problems through analytical thought and complex judgment.
- Supports end to end technical delivery management of POC and Demo projects/activities, from POC/demo kick off meeting up to delivery of demo and customer acceptance.
- Serves as key point of contact representing NPI team to the Pre-sales, Business Development Manager, project manager, local CE members and lab manager (Internal), as well as Customer. Work closely with NPI lead to ensure NPI resource is not overused/underused.
- Plan and manage the lab equipment together with NPI lead to ensure equipment in the lab are sufficient to support APAC region demo/POC.
- Supports all technical aspects of the project and delivers high customer satisfaction of NI products and solutions. High project management skills and technical aptitude required.
- Organize NPI sharepoint make sure all POC/Demo information is updated and ensure the reference of every POC/Demo performed is documented and updated accordingly.
Key Skills And Experience
You have:
- 12-15 years of experience in IP data networking.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or a relevant technical degree
- 10 or more years experience in a role requiring understanding, designing and Implementing IP Routing technologies and networking protocols
- 10 or more years experience in designing & implementing Servers / Storage / Virtualized Networks in a decent sized Datacentre
- In-depth knowledge of network architecture, products, tools, and processes.
It would be nice if you also had:
- Knowledgeable on Virtualization, Cloud and Data Center concepts and related technologies.
- Hands on experience of Linux Operating Systems, including Red Hat, CentOS
- Hands-on experience working in virtualization environments including KVM, Openstack, Openshift, Kubernetes.
- At least knowledge of one or more cloud computing platforms VMWare, CloudStack, OpenStack
- Strong proficiency in networking protocols like MP-BGP, EVPN, OSPF and device architectures (NICs, routers, switches, virtual switches, network devices like load balancer, NAT, firewall, etc)
- Knowledgeable on scripting and mastering programming languages and techniques.
- Hands-on experience including design, build, deploy, troubleshooting & fault-finding, etc.
- Nokia SRA, Cisco CCIE, Juniper JNCIE or equivalent Certification are a plus.
- Linux/Unix shell and datacentre networking knowledge
