About the Job

As a Business Analyst, the candidate acts as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure that business needs are accurately translated into scalable, high‑quality IT solutions for Insurance Operations. This role involves analyzing end‑to‑end business processes, eliciting and validating requirements, and converting them into detailed functional and technical specifications. The candidate is responsible for ensuring solution feasibility, alignment with enterprise architecture, and adherence to regulatory and operational standards. Additionally, supports solution design discussions, facilitates effective communication between users and developers, and ensures that system enhancements are delivered with clarity, accuracy, and business value.

  • Identify, analyse, and document detailed business, functional, and interface requirements to support system enhancements and operational improvements.
  • Evaluate and prioritize requirements based on business value, feasibility, dependencies, and alignment with strategic and regulatory objectives.
  • Strong experience in stakeholders, scope and change management, with proven ability to manage scope creep, back-and-forth changes and complex requests.
  • Reengineer and optimize business processes, rules, and workflows where necessary to improve efficiency, accuracy, and customer experience.
  • Conduct requirement walkthroughs with business stakeholders, solution designers, and development teams; prepare high quality documentation for user review, acceptance, and sign off.
  • Define current and future operational scenarios, including process flows, business models, data mappings, and use cases, ensuring that all technical designs fully address business needs.
  • Prepare test scenarios and test scripts, execute System Integration Testing (SIT), validate system behaviour, and support/coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solution quality and readiness.
  • Provide production support, including issue triaging, logging tickets, coordinating resolution efforts, and recommending business workarounds to minimise operational disruption.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, vendors, and project managers to secure alignment, resolve issues, and drive implementation success.
  • Demonstrate accountability for regulatory, compliance, and operational risks, ensuring all solutions adhere to internal controls, industry standards, and governance frameworks.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, new regulations, emerging risks, and relevant technologies to strengthen risk awareness and enhance solution design and operational safeguards.
  • Identify and escalate risks or potential impacts early, promoting proactive risk mitigation and sharing best practices in risk and issue management within the project and operational teams.

We are looking for people who

  • Degree in Computer Science/IT or its equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in Business Analysis or IT-related roles.
  • Comprehensive exposure to the full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with at least 3 end-to-end large scale project implementations completed.
  • Experienced in all SDLC phases including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support with the ability to apply best practices and structured methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience collaborating with technical teams in system design, development, and integration.
  • Adept at translating business requirements into technical deliverables, validating solution design, and working closely with developers, architects, and testers to ensure successful implementation.
  • Experience in the insurance industry is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with insurance products, operations, policy administration, claims, underwriting processes, and regulatory requirements is beneficial and will enable faster adaptation.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism. Demonstrates strong ownership of assigned tasks, commitment to quality, and a collaborative mindset while working within cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in tools for documentation, process modeling, project tracking, data analysis, testing support, and prototyping—including Visio, Jira, Confluence, Excel, SQL & Figma.
  • Self-driven with strong initiative and continuous improvement mindset. Proactive in proposing enhancements, resolving issues, and optimizing processes. Adaptable to evolving business needs, technological advancements, and organizational changes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Able to break down complex problems, analyze data, articulate solutions clearly, and engage effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous in documentation. Ensures clarity, accuracy, and completeness in functional specifications, process flows, test artefacts, and business requirements documentation.
