The Senior IT Executive is responsible for supporting and managing IT operations across Malaysia and China entities, ensuring stable, secure, and efficient IT systems. The role requires both hands-on technical capability and regional coordination, supporting business critical operations, system improvements, and IT governance alignment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and maintain end-to-end IT operations including infrastructure, network, systems, endpoints, and security controls across Malaysia and China offices.
- Provide regional IT support and coordination for China operations, including on-site support when required.
- Support business-critical IT systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for IT processes, infrastructure, and user productivity.
- Act as technical subject-matter expert for enterprise platforms (Microsoft 365, Adobe, Azure, endpoints, security tools).
- Ensure IT practices adhere to corporate governance, security policies, and compliance requirements.
- Install, configure, and support IT infrastructure, endpoints, and enterprise applications across both Malaysia and China environments.
- Manage network and system operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve complex technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Execute system design, implementation, testing, and documentation for new IT solutions and enhancements.
- Support IT security controls, including access control, endpoint protection, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
- Coordinate with vendors and partners for IT support, maintenance, and project delivery.
- Provide user training and support, ensuring effective adoption of IT systems and tools.
- Support IT audits, compliance reviews, and documentation where required.
- Assist in regional IT projects and system rollouts, especially for China operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Azure, Networking, Security, Cloud) preferred.
- Strong understanding of:
o IT infrastructure (servers, network, endpoints)
o Cloud and enterprise platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure)
o IT security and system hardening practices
- Familiarity with backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Good understanding of cross-border IT operations and regulatory considerations (advantage for China operations).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant IT experience, preferably in infrastructure, systems, or regional IT support roles.
- Experience supporting multi-country IT environments is an added advantage.
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
- Experience coordinating with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel frequently to China and occasionally support outside business hours when required.
