Job Summary

As a Senior IT Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and ensuring efficient resolution of client issues within defined Service Level Agreements (SLA). This role focuses on proactive client request management, troubleshooting, and applying technical expertise in infrastructure technologies, including Microsoft servers, virtualization (VMware, Microsoft), networking, security, and storage. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior engineers and maintaining service quality through continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide remote technical support for client IT infrastructure, ensuring timely resolution of service tickets.
  • Ensure proper installation, configuration, and management of IT systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex networking, security, and virtualization issues.
  • Regularly update ticketing systems with accurate billing and progress details.
  • Deliver proactive technical solutions, ensuring adherence to SOPs and IT best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure high-quality support and client satisfaction.
  • Monitor and ensure KPI targets are met, striving for high service standards.
  • Train and assist junior engineers, sharing knowledge and expertise.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred).
  • Certifications in Microsoft, VMware, or cybersecurity (desirable).
  • 3+ years of experience in IT support, preferably in an MSP environment.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, Exchange, Windows Server).
  • Experienced with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.

Location: Bandar Baru Klang, nearby the I-City Shah Alam

Salary rage: RM 5,500.00 - RM 7,000.00
