Job Overview
We are looking for a Staff / Senior ITOT APS Engineer to support and enhance Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS) systems within a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on translating manufacturing and business requirements into effective IT/OT planning solutions, while supporting system integration, testing, and ongoing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and manufacturing requirements and translate them into functional specifications for IT/OT systems.
- Participate in the implementation, configuration, and support of APS systems for manufacturing operations.
- Support planning and scheduling system modeling, including capacity planning, finite scheduling, resource/tool constraints, and production sequencing.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, planning, and supply chain stakeholders to ensure system logic aligns with operational requirements.
- Author design and functional specifications for APS and related manufacturing systems.
- Design test cases, execute system testing, and validate planning and scheduling outcomes.
- Provide 2nd-level support for APS and other assigned IT/OT systems.
- Support integration between APS, MES, ERP, and other manufacturing/planning platforms.
- Develop training materials and conduct user training sessions.
- Align and track functional requirements across global sites to ensure standardization.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Productivity Improvement, Lean, KAIZEN).
- Support other IT/OT systems as required by projects and organizational needs.
Requirements
- Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
- 4–5 years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Strong proficiency in PL/SQL and Oracle databases (mandatory).
- Good understanding of manufacturing planning and scheduling concepts such as capacity planning, finite scheduling, and constraint-based planning.
- Experience with APS systems is an advantage (especially FPS by INFICON).
- Experience in planning systems, MES, or manufacturing system implementation projects is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail; inquisitive, innovative, and self-driven.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Good command of English; Chinese language skills are an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels.
