Position: Java / Full Stack Developer – Senior Executive

Location: Selangor

Job Overview:

The Java Developer – Senior Executive will be a critical member of our operation development team, focusing on creating high-quality, scalable, and robust applications for the insurance and financial sectors. This role demands a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Java programming, a deep understanding of software architecture, and a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will drive the development of complex projects and demonstrate proficiency in Eclipse IDE, to ensure that the software meets both functional and non-functional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

This role demands a high level of attention to detail, operational task management and problem- solving ability.

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality products and high-performance solutions,

• participating actively in both code and design reviews.

• Contribute to product roadmap planning, delivering solutions that significantly impact business outcomes.

• Propose and implement solutions/products using technologies: Java, JavaScript, SQL, Spring, Python and Shell Scripts.

• Provide technical guidance to junior developers and offer suggestions to colleagues, leveraging in-depth knowledge of technology stacks.

• Propose optimal software architecture and design patterns tailored to specific project needs.

• Offer advanced support to the Technical Support Analyst team in resolving complex issues.

• Collaborate with the front-end team to develop user-friendly, stable, and high-performance web applications.

• Analyze client feedback and system logs to diagnose and resolve underlying issues effectively.

• Research on up-to-date technology stacks to continuously improve product performance and quality.

• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation to ensure knowledge transfer and serve as a reference for the team.

• Provide insights on database performance and stability optimization.

• Engage fully with the team throughout the entire development lifecycle, from inception and design to testing and deployment.

• Participate in company-arranged training sessions to acquire the necessary work knowledge.

• Perform various ad-hoc tasks related to development, maintenance, and support as required by the team or project needs.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least bachelor's degree, Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information

• Technology or equivalent

• Required skills(s): Java/J2EE (JSP, Servlet, EJB), SQL, HTML, JavaScript and relational database (DB2, PostgreSQL)

• At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in full stack web development.

• Experience with Eclipse IDE, particularly in large-scale and migration projects, as well as JBoss application will be an added advantage.

• Possess a good understanding of and practical experience with Java Web based application development.

• Experience in database performance tuning and query enhancement is an added advantage.

• Ability to work with customers and identify adoption barriers and put forth plans to address these issues.

• Excellent analytical, problem solving, teamwork and communication skills.

• Willing to go the extra mile to get jobs done at a high standard.
