Job Purpose *

Job Title: JAVA/J2SE Developer Senior

Employment Type: Contract

Competencies and Skills:

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or equivalent

Minimum of 7 years of technology experience with at least 5 years hands-on technical roles in the field and relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills.

Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts.

Excellent English oral and written communication skills.

Ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment.

Technical Skills: Java/J2SE (Compulsory), TCP/IP Protocols and Socket programming, Java threads and SOAP architecture, JSON development, Window batch scripting, Dot Net will be an added advantage

Application Server: Oracle WebLogic and Apache Tomcat

Database Server: SQL Server 2022

Experience in Banking and financial domain will be an added advantage

Job Specification:

Senior Java Developer: Developing, implementing, testing and maintaining Java based components and interfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

Defines objectives by analyzing user requirements, envisioning system features and functionality.

Designs and develops application components by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.

Recommends system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.

Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.

Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools.
