Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Application Maintenance / Production Support (L3) professional to support the Core Banking platform, specifically Silverlake. The role focuses on managing production incidents, resolving application issues, and ensuring the stability and availability of banking systems. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AS400/DB2 environments, RPG, COBOL, and Java, and a solid understanding of problem management processes.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide L3 production support for Silverlake Core Banking applications.
  • Manage and resolve production incidents, service requests, and application problems.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues.
  • Monitor system performance and identify areas for optimization.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Maintain and enhance existing applications using RPG, COBOL, and Java.
  • Document incident resolution steps, system changes, and operational procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with operational, regulatory, and security standards.
  • Participate in problem management activities to reduce incident recurrence and improve system reliability.

Required Skills:

  • 6-9 years of experience in Core Banking production support or application maintenance.
  • Strong experience with Silverlake Core Banking platform.
  • Hands-on expertise in AS400/DB2 environments.
  • Proficiency in RPG, COBOL, and Java.
  • Solid understanding of problem management and incident resolution processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple teams in high-pressure situations.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Exposure to open system environments (Linux, Windows).
  • Experience in change management, release management, and ITIL processes.
  • Knowledge of banking workflows and transaction processing.
  • Familiarity with automation tools for monitoring and incident resolution.
  • Prior experience in core banking L3 support teams.
