About The Role
- Support the Deputy CLO in strategic corporate projects in the field of Corporate/M&A, Finance, Tax and Treasury (which includes M&A, investments, strategic co-operations (including R&D), intercompany agreements, treasury and insurance matters).
- Legal support to Nexperia's expansion plans in Malaysia and Philippines (procurement etc) including site specific matters.
- Corporate legal support across all Nexperia companies in the entire APAC Region (including setting up new companies, corporate housekeeping and ESG).
- HR legal support, including company matters with local trade unions.
- Managing disputes, litigation and claims handling (such as distributors, local suppliers).
- Commercial contracting in APAC (sales, distributor and supply contracts) under supervision of the Deputy CLO.
- Managing outside legal counsel and legal spending.
What you will need
- The ideal candidate has 6-10 years of relevant experience as a corporate lawyer or in-house legal counsel and is ready to further apply and deepen his/her expertise in an international environment.
- A truly international mindset.
- A completed university degree in law.
- Strong knowledge of and experience in corporate law in an international setting gained at a leading law firm and/or a multinational company.
- M&A experience (considered a strong advantage).
- Experience working closely with Finance, Treasury and/or Tax departments.
- Litigation experience (considered an advantage).
- Proven experience working with C‑suite and senior management stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
