The role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented legal professional to provide comprehensive legal support to Jungheinrich Sales Units across the APAC region. This role involves reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of legal contracts and documents, advising on day-to-day legal matters, and ensuring alignment with Jungheinrich's legal and compliance standards.
You will play a key role in managing commercial legal issues, insurance-related matters, and supporting the development of uniform contract standards across the region. Experience working within or with Australia and New Zealand is a distinct advantage. Knowledge of data protection regulations and commercial insurances will also be highly valued.
What you'll be doing:
- Provide legal review and guidance on commercial contracts, NDAs, customer terms, and other binding documents
- Collaborate closely with Managing Directors and Sales Managers to negotiate customer agreements
- Ensure compliance with internal legal standards and support standardisation of terms across Sales Units in APAC
- Partner with Head of Legal & Compliance APAC and Corporate Legal to enhance contract templates and legal documentation
- Conduct legal risk assessments and advise on mitigation strategies
- Handle legal issues relating to commercial insurance and data protection
- Manage assigned legal and insurance cases (excluding HR matters), including coordination with external counsel where needed
- Deliver legal training and guidance to sales-related functions
- Participate in and lead legal projects as assigned
What we look for:
- Minimally 7 years of Post-Qualified Experience (PQE).
- Experience in a similar capacity across the APAC region, with exposure to multiple jurisdictions
- Strong commercial background particularly in Contract Management.
- Familiarity with data protection regulations and managing commercial insurance matters is preferred
- Strong command of English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Converse in Mandarin will be an added advantage, particularly in supporting our China business
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and legal drafting proficiency
- Able to simplify and articulate legal terms for various stakeholders
- Capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in commercial contract review and negotiation, ideally within an in-house or B2B environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and general Microsoft Office tools
- Diploma or certification in legal studies as a paralegal or legal executive
- Exposure to legal operations in Australia and/or New Zealand is an advantage
