Join a respected Bursa Malaysia-listed PLC specializing in property development and corporate real estate in a high-impact Senior Legal Manager role-leading legal advisory, compliance, and transactional support (including joint ventures, acquisitions, SPAs, and tenancies) across the Group
- Advise, review, and finalise legal documents relating to sale & purchase agreements (land/housing projects), tenancies, joint venture agreements, shareholders agreements, corporate loans, and acquisitions-including due diligence, SPA negotiation, and post-completion integration.
- Maintain and update contract templates and standard clauses in alignment with external panel solicitors and Legal Consultant guidance.
- Lead PDPA, ABAC, and Whistleblowing compliance: policy reviews, internal audits, DPO/DBN assessments, training, and audit support.
- Manage litigation workflow: accept service of court summons, coordinate with Company Secretary on Bursa announcements, liaise with external counsel, and maintain case tracking records.
- Serve as central legal contact for internal stakeholders; manage document exchanges with external solicitors; maintain comprehensive legal records and contract repositories.
- Provide timely legal briefings on regulatory changes affecting property development, corporate transactions, and governance.
about the requirements
- Qualified Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya (or equivalent legal qualification)
- Minimum 7-8 years post-qualification experience in corporate/commercial law, with demonstrated hands-on experience in joint venture agreements and acquisitions (non-negotiable)
- Strong exposure to property-related transactions: SPAs for land/housing projects, tenancies, conveyancing documentation, and corporate real estate matter
